INNOVATION IN PIPING TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH

Becetel is synonymous with the Belgian Centre for Technological Research in Pipes and Fittings. Established in 1957 at Ghent University, our journey began with a focused vision to undertake comprehensive research and studies in the realm of piping and its accessories. Today, we are situated in Melle as an autonomous and EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.

Our expertise and reliability have earned us recognition from numerous inspection and certification authorities, including BCCA, Copro, Certigaz, DVGW CERT, Din-Certco, among others. We are a global entity, serving clients from various parts of the world.

Specializing in a wide range of tests on plastics piping systems and construction materials, we adhere to international standards such as ISO, EN, and ASTM, ensuring top-quality and reliable results.

As an independent, non-profit organization, our primary focus is on delivering value to both our company and our diverse clientele.

Our collaborations extend to various fusion centers, particularly for certifying fusion personnel in plastics systems, including gas piping and landfill membranes.

Becetel boasts a dedicated workshop for preparing samples, modifying existing machinery, and innovating new testing equipment. This versatility allows us to meet our clients’ needs with agility and precision.

We are not just a testing facility, Becetel actively participates as a respected technical expert in several international standardization committees. Moreover, we serve as the sector operator for the Belgian standardization organization (NBN) in the field of plastics.

Becetel is frequently sought for expert legal advice in judicial proceedings, cementing our status as a trusted center of expertise.
