Becetel is proud to announce the acquisition of a new UD04 testing machine from STEP Lab, supplied through our trusted distributor Quantify. This state-of-the-art equipment significantly enhances our testing capabilities by enabling both static and dynamic mechanical testing.
The new testing machine will primarily be used to perform the Cracked Round Bar (CRB) test in accordance with ISO 18489. This advanced test method allows for precise evaluation of crack growth resistance in polyethylene (PE) materials, particularly relevant for PE 100-RC grades. We are preparing to include this method in our BELAC scope of accreditation during our next audit.
With the addition of the CRB test, Becetel now offers all four standardized test methods used to evaluate PE 100-RC materials: Accelerated Full Notch Creep Test (AFNCT), Accelerated Notch Pipe Test (ANPT), Cracked Round Bar Test (CRB), and Strain Hardening Test (SHT).
This investment further strengthens our position as a leading accredited testing centre for plastics pipe materials and underlines our continued commitment to technical excellence and service quality.
