Becetel vzw is delighted to invite members, customers and stakeholders to the upcoming Becetel Event. An afternoon dedicated to developments in the plastics and construction sector, combining expert presentations, live laboratory demonstrations and informal networking.
The programme brings together guest speakers from key organisations in the plastics and construction industry, alternated with practical demonstrations of our testing capabilities. This format offers participants both strategic insights and a hands-on look at current testing practices.
Following guest speakers will kick off the afternoon:
~ Geert Dhaese (Essenscia) – Recycling and its challenges within the plastics sector
~ Joost Verhelst (BCCA) – Plastic Recycling and Its Impact on Certification Schemes
~ Cédric Dhaene (VLAIO) – Funding and public support for sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation
~ Joris Vienne (Becetel vzw) – New approach for durability evaluation of non-pressure thermoplastic piping systems within CEN/TC 155/WG 28
Afterwards, participants will be invited into the laboratory for live demonstrations of the following test methods:
~ Cracked Round Bar test – ISO 18489 – Evaluation of slow crack growth behaviour of PE materials
~ Cyclic loading test – ISO 19892 – Cyclic pressure testing of pipes and assemblies in different temperature conditions
~ Pigment dispersion – ISO 18553 – Evaluation of dispersion of carbon black particles
The event will conclude with an informal networking session, providing attendees with the opportunity to exchange experiences and continue discussions while enjoying food and drinks.
